What I check first in a consultation
Before changing anything, I look at the five things that decide most local rankings in Mumbai. Each one is quick to check and often quick to fix.
- 1Primary category. The single most important setting on your profile, and often wrong.
- 2Name, address and phone. Whether they match exactly across Google, Justdial, Sulekha and your website.
- 3Reviews. How many you have, how recent they are and how you compare with the top three nearby.
- 4Website pages. Whether each main service and area has its own page that answers what customers ask.
- 5Mobile speed. How fast your site loads on a normal phone connection, not office Wi-Fi.
Fixing the first two alone often moves a business several places in the map pack within weeks. The rest compound over the following months.
